screw the status quo. we need change and we need it now. we need not a leader who plays with words and public funds. we need not a leader whose years of service fall under the 'fiction' category. we definitely need not a leader who knows nothing. we require a leader who has conviction, who has the guts to change the seemingly unchangeable. we need... to prepare for 2007. Now.

Art by Ariel Atienza. I'm a big fan of his work. :)

I wish I have Doc Emmett Brown's DeLorean. You'd probably see this entry in Philippine history books: Right after saying this famous line, someone from the audience shouted these equally famous words (using David Letterman's tone)... "WHAT??!!! ARE YOU NUTS?!!!"

Here's the big irony: Pres. Quezon died of tuberculosis. In New York.

Yeahhhh....

The quotation is already in a number of history books, for that matter.

While Quezon's words are interesting to read, one should note that they don't take into account the rampant politicking that takes place in a country run by us Filipinos. Agoncillo's history books, incidentally, even paint Quezon as one of the biggest politickers of all time (although we're not sure if that's true, of course).
